Akatha, the Ancient Science of Sahaji
The most important part of the teaching is finding one’s inner sound current (high electrical pitch heard inside one) using the AKATHA (a’ kuh tuh) Spiritual Exercise. Sant Mat / Radhasoami Cosmology
Sant Mat/Radhasoami proposes an elaborate cosmology concerning a series of spiritual universes beyond the physical. In many ways it is more like western esoteric teachings such as Neoplatonism,Kabbalah (albeit without the complex dialectic of the latter), Theosophy, and Max and Alma Theon, rather than Indian teachings which tend to have a much simpler cosmology.

I’d like to share two insights with you, for me two of the most precious that I received from our teacher, Yogiji.
The Sound Current
Ever since I can remember, I’ve heard this high pitched sound in my head. It’s kind of like the keening made by high voltage electrical wires or when an old TV is switched off. I knew this sound wasn’t caused by blood flowing through my ear drums because it didn’t vary with my pulse or any other physical function.
Keeping Up With Creation
When I was fourteen, I discovered the Sound Current. Not all about it of course, but enough to know it was my tangible proof GOD was always there. To a degree, my entire spiritual education has been about the Sound Current. In the beginning, as I listened to it, it seemed as though I was only listening to one note, one instrument.

Across the many centuries and around the world, mystics, in the scriptures they left behind, recorded some of their experiences with inner Sound, the heavenly Music that comes from beyond the silence. Encountering the Sound Current might be as subtle as hearing a faint tone or hum in meditation, or as blissful as becoming one with a cosmic symphony on a higher plane of existence — an experience beyond what earthly language is capable of truly conveying.
